We invite you to join Hearts of Steel for some winter fun and socializing at one of the events below.

Some are still in the planning stages and more may be added so check back often for updates.

What:  Prancersize is BACK!  Note NEW DATE

When:  Sunday, FEBRUARY 20, 2022 at 10:00 AM  (Arrive by 9:45 AM)

Where:  Allegheny Cemetery, 4734 Butler St, Pittsburgh 15201  (Lawrenceville)  Meet at the front gates of the cemetery that face Butler Street.

Wait, What?  Coach Laurie will lead us in a “Prancersize”.
No pets are allowed in the cemetery.
Lunch/Coffee afterward for anyone interested, somewhere on Butler street.
The event will be canceled if the temperature is below 29 degrees or if it is raining.

When:  Saturday, March 5, 2022, at 10:00 AM

Where:  Plum Senior Community Center, 499 Center New Texas Rd, Plum, PA 15239

Wait, What?  This is a free fitness and nutrition seminar specially designed for breast cancer survivors.

Highlights:

* Dr. Kristyn Sprague, PT, DPT, WCS, CLT Women’s Health Interim Residency Director Board Certified Specialist, Women’s Health Certified Lymphedema Therapist

* Sexual Health with Dana Kirkpatrick, MS, NCC, LPC, CST, CSTS, Breast Cancer Survivor

*Colleen Bortz, Fitness Instructor, Breast Cancer Survivor and Hearts of Steel team member

* Yoga with Sonja Apperson, Certified Yoga Instructor and additional training in Yoga Anatomy

*Sally Lipsky, PhD Plant Based Nutrition education and author

*Dr. Eric Stiglemeir,, Hess DPT, COMT

*Dress comfortably for exercise and yoga.

*The afternoon will wind down with refreshments and social time. Come see why Pittsburgh Hearts of Steel has become a “happy place” for so many breast cancer survivors.
